1. Local Rules
- Local rules are printed on the back of the scorecard.
- Temporary local rules will be posted on the Club House notice board.
2. Practice
- A member playing the course in non-competition rounds shall not play more than two balls.
3. Practice Fairway – (adjacent to Clubhouse)
- Play from car park end of practice fairway only.
- Use only clubs that will not hit ball beyond perimeter fence.
- Fill divots with sand.
- Be aware of others – practice safely.
- Do not hit when golfers are hitting off 18th Tee.
- Chipping and Putting Greens are designated Practice Areas
- Full practice facilities are available on the practice fairway at the western end of the Course.
4. Time Sheets
- Each competitor must have his name on the time sheet. The maximum number of names that can be entered on the time sheet by any one player is four, including the player entering the names. Competitors shall report to the Pro Shop at least 15 minutes before the listed time. Entrants who are late may be relegated to the end of the field. The Pro Shop must be notified of all cancellations.
- Play should be in fours. The tee steward has the discretion to alter the time-slot of any competitor.
- When the time sheet is full, an emergency time sheet will be posted, and once this is posted, members cannot put their name down on the original time sheet. The Pro Shop, Captain or Manager can only do this.
5. Score Cards
- Every member has a duty to:
- Return all competition cards on his home course for handicapping purposes.
- Report to his home club all scores returned by him in any competition at any other club, together with the course rating of the day.
6. Members belonging to two or more clubs
- Each member in this category has a duty to nominate which club shall be his home club, for handicapping purposes.
7. Withdrawal of Handicap
- The handicap of a member may be withdrawn if he fails to carry out his duties. To retain a handicap, a member must return a minimum of five cards per calendar year.
8. Prior to commencing a competition round, a member shall
- Enter the competition at the Pro Shop
- Pay the appropriate fee.
9. The low marker in each group is responsible for the conduct of the group
- e.g. to see that the group does not lose its place in the field.
Mobile Phone Policy
- Mobile phones should not be used in the Clubhouse unless in inaudible mode. Any response should be made from a non-public area.
- On the Golf Course – Mobile phones may only be used during competition rounds in an emergency. Use of a mobile phone must not delay, distract or disrupt others using any of the Club’s facilities.
Dress Rules - Men
- Permitted Dress: Shirt with collar and sleeves; trousers or neat denim; golf or sports shoes on the Course, with either long socks or sports socks. Note: Leather sandals or boat shoes may be worn in the Clubhouse without socks.
- Not Permitted Dress: Thongs; Swimming attire; Football Shorts; Track Suits; Shirts without collars; Singlets. Footwear on the Course without socks.
- It is requested that footwear worn on the Course is not worn in the Clubhouse Lounge.
- The Course Management reserves the right to object to any particular dress, even though it conforms to the above requirements.
Dress Rules - Ladies
- Permitted Dress: Dress jeans or pants; tailored shorts; golf or sports shoes; shirts with collars, round or vee-necks.
- Not Permitted Dress: Thongs; Swimming attire; Short Shorts; Track Suits; Gym Shirts; Strapless, thin strap or halter tops.
- It is requested that footwear worn on the Course not be worn in the Clubhouse.
- The Course Management reserves the right to object to any particular dress, even though it may conform to the above requirements.
Visitors
- A member of a golf club affiliated with the V.G.A., A.G.U., W.G.A., W.G.L. or W.G.V., or a member of the V.G.L. who is introduced by a member may, on payment of the applicable green fee, enter the club competition (main club events excepted).
- A member wishing to introduce a visitor for competition must first obtain permission from the Captain or Manager.
- A member introducing a visitor shall be responsible for the visitor's demeanour and observance of the club's rules. A reduced green fee is applicable.
Guest Days
- Time sheets shall be reserved for members desiring to invite guests who are members of clubs affiliated with the V.G.A., A.G.U., V.G.L., W.G.L. and W.G.A.
