The final of the Greta Volum Knockout was played on Tuesday July 6th and was won on the 17th by Pat Malloch (29) from Gill Morrison (15). Apart from 3 years playing casual golf in Saudi Arabia where she worked, Pat has only recently returned to playing regular golf after a gap of 30 years and regained her handicap in May 2009. So she is very delighted to have survived the four rounds prior to the final to be the eventual winner. It is a particularly fitting result as at one stage of her nursing career Pat was in charge of the Greta Volum Day Surgery Unit at the Geelong Hospital. Congratulations to Pat on winning one of Curlewis’ most prestigious ladies event.
